The LOUISISANA WILDFOWL CARVERS AND COLLECTORS GUILD has a world-class festival each year in New Orleans. For over 25 years, this festival has attracted wood carvers from all over the USA. As a sponsor of the event, IPIK has acquired the blue ribbon winning entry in 2 categories of competition. The very strict rules of the competition require that the carving be 100% wood.(except the eyes). The carving and painting of the carvings is so realistic that the most common reaction the viewer has is "oh, a stuffed duck!" no,no this is a wood carving. Those feathers are carved wood!

I hope that you can appreciate the talent and artistic talent of these artists expressed in wood . They don't build offices, museums or hospitals ... but they can sure delight the eye.
